On January 10, 2025, Delta Air Lines Flight 2668, a Boeing 757-300 en route from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Minneapolis, aborted its takeoff due to an engine issue.

The incident occurred amid a rare snowstorm affecting the Atlanta area.

According to Delta Air Lines, the flight crew detected an engine anomaly during the takeoff roll and decided to suspend the takeoff as a precautionary measure.

Following standard safety protocols, the crew initiated an emergency evacuation. Passengers exited the aircraft via emergency slides onto the snow-covered tarmac.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport reported that four passengers sustained minor injuries during the evacuation process.

One individual was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation, while the remaining three were treated on-site.

The snowstorm in Atlanta led to significant operational disruptions at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, including numerous flight delays and cancellations.

Delta Air Lines reported approximately 500 flight cancellations due to the adverse weather conditions and has offered affected customers the option to rebook flights without additional charges.

Passengers scheduled to travel through Atlanta are advised to check the status of their flights and exercise caution when navigating airport facilities during inclement weather.
